Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Southall, Greater London
Salary: Up to £48,000
Shift: Permanent Late Shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm), Monday to Friday

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Southall. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to work a permanent late shift within a fast-paced production environment while enjoying an excellent work-life balance.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production machinery through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance and supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both electrical and mechanical disciplines and thrive in a busy manufacturing environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities
Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging or industrial environments
Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an engineering team
Strong focus on health and safety and engineering best practice

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Experience fault finding on PLC systems (inputs and outputs)
Previous experience working permanent shifts
Knowledge of conveyors, motors, inverters, pumps, pneumatics and hydraulics
Continuous Improvement experience
