Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based role with excellent work-life balance, long-term stability, and genuine training opportunities?

We're recruiting for a family-run manufacturer based in Leeds that has been successfully operating since the 1980s. The business designs, manufactures and supplies specialist products to the UK housing sector from a modern, well-invested facility. Due to continued growth and ongoing investment in automation, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team.

You'll be joining a company with an exceptionally loyal workforce and a supportive Engineering Manager who is passionate about developing engineers through training and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum uptime across the production facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
Maintaining ABB robotic welding cells, Trumpf laser cutting machines and other automated production equipment
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability
About You

To be successful in this role you'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment
Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
PLC fault-finding and/or robotics experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a close-knit engineering team
A desire to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career
