Experience:
5 years minimum Maintenance Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineering: 5 years (preferred)
Mechanical Engineering: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical/Electrical.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and FANUC control systems.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

My Client is in the FMCG space and are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be working a 3 rotational shift system (1 night in 5). As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You should have experience in carrying out panel work. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and resolving technical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and implementing improvements to optimize efficiency in a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and repairing equipment.
- Experience in working on Bosch and Babcock Boilers and Steam works.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance practices.
