The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking to join a leading Facilities Management provider?

We're recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join an established engineering team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout Edinburgh and the East of Scotland.

One of the standout benefits of this role is the 4-day working week. You'll be employed on a 40-hour contract while only working 32 hours across four days, giving you an extra day off every week without any reduction in salary.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid Inspection & Testing qualification and have Fixed Wire Testing (FWT) experience.

The Role

As a Mobile Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive electrical repairs and Fixed Wire Testing across a variety of commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

* Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Fixed Wire Testing (FWT).

* Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs.

* Undertake electrical testing and inspection works.

* Maintain emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces and small power systems.

* Complete all paperwork using CAFM/mobile systems.

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.

* Build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.

* Support small electrical installation projects where required.

About You

Essential

✔ Qualified Electrician (SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

✔ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

✔ City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395 (Inspection & Testing)

✔ Proven experience carrying out Fixed Wire Testing (FWT) and EICRs

✔ Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Services

✔ Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

✔ Full UK Driving Licence
