Maintenance Inventory Controller
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Inventory Controller on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.
The Maintenance Inventory Controller will be responsible for the control of consumables, consignment, and MRO spare parts along with arranging transportation for serviceable items (off-site). You will ensure items arrive in full, in good condition, are delivered to the correct storage locations safely, are documented and labelled accurately, and stock-checked regularly to ensure items are available when required.
Hours: Mon-Fri | 8:30am – 17:00pm – 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £30,000 per annum.
Duties Include but not limited to:
• Promoting the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all health and safety environmental requirements.
• Ensuring Items arrive in full in good condition.
• Making sure they are delivered to the correct storage locations safely.
• Items are documented and labelled accurately via our CMMS inventory system and storage systems.
• Stock checks are regularly performed.
• Arranging transportation for items that require external services.
• To hold a forklift truck license (training available).
• Liaising with OEMs and suppliers regarding consignment stock held on and off site.
• Identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities relating to inventory control.
• Limiting emergency orders through accurate stock control.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience within the same/similar role.
• Experience using inventory control software.
• Microsoft Office skills and experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Engineering and/or technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Hold or previously held a forklift truck license.
• Experience using procurement software such as SAP.
