Description:
Maintenance Assistant required for a hotel in the Crawley Down surrounding area. Transport will be required due to shift work.
As Maintenance Assistant you will be assisting the Maintenance Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of this hotel. You will be part of the team to ensure that maintenance work is carried out to the standards required.
The Role of Maintenance Assistant:
A full-time permanent vacancy is available to ensure reactive and planned maintenance is covered over a 7-day period to assist in making sure the hotel and spa are presented appropriately and all facilities are maintained in an excellent working order. A certified training course will also be provided to cover pool plant procedures & maintenance.
* Completing general maintenance tasks from the daily maintenance list ensuring that priority tasks are completed.
* Tasks will include pool plant, plumbing, electrical, carpentry/joinery, painting & decorating. Whilst our client is seeking a multi-skilled person, they do not expect you to be able to cover all these trades as contractors will be engaged also
* Working 5 days out of 7 including some weekend shifts. Shifts cover 7am -3.30pm and 10am – 6.30pm (40 hrs per week)
Requirements of the role of Maintenance Assistant:
* Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment covering a wide range of general maintenance tasks in a customer environment
* General maintenance experience ideally within a guest/customer environment
* Priority areas of experience either plumbing or electrical
* Some on call for emergencies (on a rota) so you must live within a 30 minutes radius of the hotel
* Proven record of success in prioritising a range of property maintenance issues
The salary for Maintenance Assistant is given as £25,000 / per annum (£24,000 per annum + £1,000 per annum guaranteed service charge payment), plus an additional end of year service charge bonus. This is a live out role and transport will be required due to location.
