Position: Mailroom Courier
Rate of Pay: £17.50 per hour (umbrella)
Working Days: Monday to Friday, onsite
Location: NW9 4EW
Employer: London Borough of Barnet
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Mailroom Courier to join our Estates Service team at the London Borough of Barnet. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of our Mailroom service.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive mailroom support, including sorting and distributing mail.
Perform courier driving duties as needed.
Follow specific processes and procedures for handling incoming and outgoing mail.
Handle manual tasks, including lifting packages and boxes, pushing trolleys, and remaining on your feet throughout the day.
Work collaboratively with the mailroom team and cover for courier drivers when required.
Deliver excellent customer service to meet clients' exacting and time-critical needs.
Requirements:
A full driving licence, capable of driving a Vauxhall Vivaro sized van or similar with manual gears, is essential.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
Strong customer service skills.
