Machine Shop Team Leader (CNC Milling & Turning)
Swadlincote, Derbyshire | circa £45k + Regular Overtime | Monday-Friday | Permanent
Looking to step into a more hands-off supervisory role while still staying close to the machining process?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK engineering manufacturer supplying bespoke equipment into highly regulated industries. This is an opportunity to lead a small, busy machine shop, taking responsibility for planning workloads, supporting another machinist, and ensuring quality components are delivered on time.
You'll remain technically involved, programming and machining complex one-off and low-volume precision components, but with greater ownership of the day-to-day running of the shop.
We're looking for:
5+ years' CNC Milling & Turning experience
Strong CNC programming skills
Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience (or someone ready to step up)
Experience machining stainless steel and working to tight tolerances
Ability to manufacture one-off and prototype components
Confident reading engineering drawings
Experience with Hurco lathes and milling machines would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Salary: Circa £45k plus regular overtime.
