This role involves ensuring the accuracy and quality of cuts, adhering to safety standards, and performing routine maintenance on the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate band saws to cut various materials to specified dimensions.
Adjust machine settings such as blade tension, cutting speed, and angle to ensure precise cuts.
Load and unload materials onto the saw table
Select appropriate materials for cutting based on job specifications.
Skills:
Proficiency in operating band saws and other cutting equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to make precise measurements.
Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials.
