The main focus of the role will be operating a Matica DOD machine, although there will also be opportunities to cross-train on other machinery and production processes as your skills and experience develop.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, keen to learn and looking for a long-term career within manufacturing. The intention is for the successful candidate to progress into a permanent full-time position following a successful training period.

Key Responsibilities

* Learn to safely and efficiently operate the Matica DOD machine.

* Follow all operating procedures and work instructions accurately.

* Complete production tasks to the required quality and efficiency standards.

* Use computer systems to operate and monitor machinery.

* Carry out basic quality checks and identify any issues.

* Record production information accurately.

* Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

* Follow all company health & safety procedures.

* Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently once fully trained.

* Undertake cross-training on other machines and production processes as required.

* Report any machinery, production or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and eager to learn. Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

You will ideally have:

* Good computer literacy and confidence using computer-based systems.

* The ability to follow instructions, procedures and work instructions accurately.

* Good attention to detail.

* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* A reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping.

* The ability to work independently once trained.

* A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within manufacturing.

* The flexibility to complete initial training on days before moving onto permanent nights.

Training & Progression

Full training will be provided on the day shift for the first few weeks. The length of the training period will depend on how quickly the successful candidate develops the necessary skills and demonstrates competency.

Once fully trained, the successful candidate will move onto the permanent night shift.

There is also the opportunity to cross-train across different machines and production areas, providing the opportunity to develop a broader range of manufacturing skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in manufacturing, with a clear pathway towards a permanent position
