This is a role that requires a flexible approach to work as there will be a requirement to learn and operate specialist machinery that cannot be found anywhere else in the UK, HOWEVER. alongside this, you must be content in participating in the packing side of the business which is a critical part of the operation.
The long term career expectation is to be a multiskilled operative who can competently run the machines and take ownership of resolving technical problems.
This isn't a stereotypical factory/production role; this is a long term career opportunity.
Responsibilities:
* Packing lightweight products and palletizing.
* Operate and maintain state of art machinery exclusive to the UK proficiently and safely to produce top tier floor underlay materials.
* Engage in tasks such as manual handling, warehouse work, packing, and the processing of recycled materials.
* Comply with stringent time schedules, ensuring the smooth operation of the factory.
* Join their collaborative environment, sharing knowledge, and assisting colleagues as required without being asked.

* Our client's factory operates on 12hour shifts, alternating between nights (6 pm 6 am Sunday to Thursday morning) and days (6 am 6 pm Monday to Thursday).
* The rate of pay is £12 per hour to start with and you get paid the premium night rate for days as well. The rate goes up to £12.50 when taken on permanently which is an annual salary of £31,200 plus 3day weekend.
* Regular overtime at 1.5 normal rate available.
