Machine Operator
Temp-perm
£16.52 per hour
My client, a leading engineering company based close to Basingstoke is looking to recruit a Machine Operator on a temp-perm basis - typically you will work for 3 months and then join my client on a permanent basis.
My client has recently moved premises and have a very impressive manufacturing facility which includes air conditioning.
The role will work on a double dayshift, working 06.00 – 14.00 / 14.00 – 22.00 which will rotate weekly.
Ideally, candidates will have a background within engineering / manufacturing and be familiar with general engineering practises, machinery and measuring equipment.
Candidates must be able to start immediately or a maximum of a week after successful interview and offer to start - so please only apply if you are available immediately or maximum 1 week from an offer. We will hold a short interview on my clients site in Basingstoke.
Duties to include:
* Operate foam process / moulding machines to produce moulded products.
* Adjust shot times to suit size and weight of product.
* Working to drawings and work Instructions.
* Safe and efficient machine maintenance.
* Self-inspection - to check quality of moulded products and to check for moulding faults.
* Complete and understand relevant documentation.
* Ensure good housekeeping - maintain a tidy workstation.
* Efficient trimming of polymer flashing from machined product.
* Assembly of parts and kits.
* Packing/boxing of products ready for distribution.
* Complete and understand relevant documentation.
Hours of work are 06.00 – 14.00 / 14.00 – 22.00 which will rotate weekly. A competitive hourly rate of £16.52 per hour (£32,214 per annum) is on offer for the right candidates.
