Production Operative – Pultrusion
Location: Wing, Leighton Buzzard
Pay: £13.00
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative to join BASTECH, based at Lancaster Business Park in Wing, Leighton Buzzard.
This is a hands-on role working within a busy pultrusion manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the pultrusion production process and ensuring products are produced safely and to the required standards.
The Role:
Operating and monitoring the pultrusion production line
Supporting the day-to-day running of the pultrusion machine process
Mixing resin as required
Managing the roving rack to support continuous production
Completing production documentation and records
Using hand tools and measuring equipment
Carrying out general housekeeping and keeping the work area clean and tidy
Following all health and safety proceduresThe Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Comfortable using hand tools
Able to use measuring instruments
Physically fit and able to carry out regular lifting
Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a teamWorking Environment:
This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy objects. The working environment may include a mild resin odour and filament dust.
