THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Machine Operative for our client based in Newton Aycliffe. The organisation employs 25 staff and has a £3m turnover. The business specialises in bespoke fabrications. This is a temp to perm opportunity following a successful probation period.
As a Machine Operative you will join a team on a shop floor and receive full training on guillotines and press machines along with training within the paint department. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills or jump start your career in manufacturing while gaining experience in a variety of operations within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The business has a guaranteed order book for the next 18 months and the business can provide job security due to its diverse client range.
THE ROLE
Operating general manufacturing machinery such as guillotines and press machines
Full training will be provided so prior experience is desirable but not essential
Assisting other departments and gaining valuable experience in all aspects of the fabrication process
Abiding by strict levels of H&S
The successful candidate will be working between the paint department and sheet metal department to aid manufacturing process
THE PERSON
Forklift license/experience would be advantageous but not essential
Willingness to learn
Desire to develop skills in manufacturing such as machinery operations, painting & fitting
This role would suit someone with previous experience within a manufacturing environment
Relevant qualification would be desirable but not essential
Flexibility required to work business needs and help out with other departments during busy periods
