Description:

Tennial Personnel are actively recruiting for a Production Operative (Food Blending) to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking long-term employment with a business that offers genuine career progression into a Cooking Chef position. The role is offered on an ongoing temporary basis with the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful probationary period.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with occasional overtime available on Saturdays during busy periods.

This is a varied, hands-on role within the production department, where the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and blending food products using industrial mixing equipment. The role is ideally suited to someone with a genuine passion for cooking, an understanding of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and blend food products using industrial blenders ranging from 250kg to 2,000kg capacity

Accurately follow recipes and production instructions to ensure product consistency and quality

Operate production equipment, including mixing vessels, pumps, and associated machinery

Complete production paperwork and batch documentation accurately

Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety throughout the production process

Follow the company's "Clean As You Go" policy at all times

Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved

Ensure all equipment and work areas remain clean and organised

Adhere to all company procedures relating to food safety, quality, and health & safety

Support general production duties as required

This role involves manual handling and occasional heavy lifting of ingredients weighing up to 25kg.

Applicants must be comfortable working on their feet throughout the shift and be able to read and accurately follow written recipes and production instructions in English.

Please note that while lifting forms part of the role, additional team members are available to assist with heavier manual handling duties.

Skills Required

A genuine passion for cooking and food preparation

Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety procedures

Previous experience working with industrial vessels, pumps, blending equipment, or similar production machinery

Ability to accurately follow written recipes and production instructions

Good attention to detail and organisational skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications Required
Previous experience within food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, food production, or a similar environment is highly desirable

Experience operating industrial mixing equipment, vessels, or pumps is advantageous

Basic understanding of food safety and health & safety procedures
