Academics are currently recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hounslow on a temporary ongoing basis.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important part in creating a safe, positive, and enjoyable lunchtime environment.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during their lunch break, ensuring they remain safe and well-supported. You will help maintain a clean and organised dining area, support pupils where needed, and encourage positive behaviour and interactions.

Role:

Position: Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: 11:30am - 1:30pm
Pay: From £14.50 - £16 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start AvailableKey Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during lunchtime and ensure their safety and wellbeing
Support pupils in the dining hall and playground
Replenish drinking water and ensure pupils have access to water
Clean up spillages promptly and safely
Clean and wipe down tables following lunchtime
Encourage good manners, positive behaviour, and respectful interactions
Support pupils with their lunchtime routines where required
Monitor pupils and respond appropriately to any minor incidents
Promote a safe, calm, and welcoming environment
Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the appropriate member of staff
Work closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupils during lunchtimeCandidate Requirements

Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
A caring, patient, and reliable approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to supervise children confidently and fairly
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain oneWe Also Offer:
