Position: KS1 Learning Support Assistant, 1 year Maternity Cover

Location: Hackney

Start Date: September 2024

Pay: £85- £90 a day

At Tradewind we are currently recruiting for a KS1 Learning Assistant with experience working with SEN pupils. The role is split into afternoon and morning sessions. The morning session will be working with a Year 1 girl with ASD and afternoon will be supporting a Year 3 Boy with ADHD. The school are looking for someone to join them from September 2024, while there Learning Support Assistant leaves for Maternity.

The role:

Working in the morning supporting a Year 1 pupil with ASD, and Afternoons supporting a Year 3 pupil with ADHD.
Incorporating both pupils into the classroom as best as possible
1:1 intervention with both pupils
Helping the teacher organise and set up for the day
Working alongside the teacher and SENCO to follow plans for both pupils
Resilience and dedication is crucial for this role Requirements:

Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
