Loss Prevention Manager

Due to the continued success and expansion of the company’s property portfolio, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Loss Prevention Manager to lead the start-up and development of a Loss Prevention function for Pavers within our Operations Department. This is a permanent full-time role.

The role reports to the Operations Consultant and is based at our Head Office in York with occasional need to travel throughout the U.K.

The initial aim is to evaluate the Loss Prevention needs of the business to determine the areas of risk regarding loss of company Stock, Cash and Assets. From this you will introduce Loss Prevention Policies, Procedures and Reporting to mitigate risk and loss. You’ll not be afraid to get hands on and will enjoy digging into the detail.

This is a broad and open remit that would suit someone with experience of Retail Loss Prevention, who can use their knowledge and experience to implement best practices. It will require an inquisitive mindset and an ability to work cross functionally with Retail Operations, Warehouse and Head Office functions, to identify risk and put controls and monitoring in place, writing, implementing and embedding policies and procedures to keep risk managed.

Main duties of our Loss Prevention Manager;

Review current processes and procedures to identify potential areas of risk/loss

Implement best practice procedures and measures to mitigate loss across Retail (Internal and External), Warehouse/3PL and Head Office

Implement controls and reporting to monitor areas of risk

Non compliance and exception reporting

Work cross functionally with Retail to reduce loss on stock and cash, Head Office functions for compliance on process and Warehouse on Stock Movements

Improve awareness of Loss Prevention throughout the business

Compliance visits to our stores

Conduct investigations into suspected losses

Evaluate Store Stock Take Audit results

Scope the future needs for the business and department in line with our growth strategy

About you 

Experienced Loss Prevention Management in a Retail environment is essential

Knowledge of best practice procedures and main areas of risk

Experience in developing KPI and Management information reporting

An experienced leader who is adept at managing change

Competent in MS Office, particularly Excel

A good communicator who is naturally inquisitive

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to take the initiative and work independently and cross functionally

Comfortable to question and challenge at all levels

Confident to make recommendations and present findings to senior management

A self-starter who can determine priorities, objectives and work to deadlines
