Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager with expertise in deliveries management and waste management, along with a background as a traffic marshal. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations, including planning, coordinating, and optimizing the movement of goods and materials. They will also be tasked with implementing efficient waste management practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliveries Management:
* Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods to customers.
* Oversee the execution of delivery routes, optimizing for cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor delivery performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to address any issues or delays.
* Waste Management:
* Develop and implement waste management strategies to minimize waste generation and promote recycling and sustainability.
* Coordinate with waste disposal vendors to ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with regulations.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement in waste management practices.
* Traffic Marshal Duties:
* Utilize traffic management expertise to optimize traffic flow within logistics operations, minimizing congestion and delays.
* Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians within the facility.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities and transportation agencies, to address traffic-related issues effectively.
* Team Leadership:
* Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.
* Set performance goals and objectives for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
* Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those related to transportation, waste management, and workplace safety.
* Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices, implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in logistics management, with a focus on deliveries management and waste management.
* Background as a traffic marshal or experience in traffic management is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in logistics and waste management.
* Proficiency in logistics software and technology tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and waste tracking systems.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
