We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor for a Swindon based company.

About the Logistics Supervisor role:

As the Logistics Supervisor the purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate a team of 4 staff, within a busy logistics operation, ensuring all correspondence and operational records are processed in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities for the Logistics Supervisor role:

* Ensure all Customer orders are processed on the Warehouse Management System.

* Analyse data to improve supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness

* Utilise transportation management systems to optimise delivery schedules and routes

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and company policies

* Collaborate with other departments across the organisation to ensure the flow of goods daily

* Overseeing and monitoring the daily activities of the customer service operation

* Responsible for coaching, training and performance management across the team

* Investigating and resolving customer service issues and complaints

* Allocation of stock

* Managing and authenticating invoices

* Look at ways of saving costs across the department

Key Skills & Experience required for the Logistics Supervisor role:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role

* Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the logistics sector

* Proficient IT user, including Microsoft Packages including Excel, SharePoint and Outlook

* Ability to take responsibility and use own initiative

* Be proactive and adaptable

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Strong people skills

* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload

* Attention to detail and accuracy
