The OPRA Group has a great opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor for a leading steel engineering company, supporting successful projects across the Southeast of England from its base in Northwest London.
They design, manufacture, and assemble CE Marked structural steelwork and architectural metalwork for construction industry projects of all sizes.
They are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to establish the logistics networks and processes across the business. Identify and secure vendors for logistics/storage services and oversee all aspects of logistics.
Role Duties:
* Supervising Staff
* Managing stock levels
* Coordinating and controlling order cycles
* Monitoring delivery times and transport costs
* Planning vehicle routes
* Evaluating quality of logistics processes and planning improvements
* Liaising with third party suppliers and managing the in-house logistics processes across the business
Logistics Supervisor - Essential Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified with a relevant Logistics / Engineering Degree or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience within a logistics position ideally in Engineering/Construction
* Good knowledge of various logistics processes.
* Capable of improving the efficiency of a logistics network.
* Experience of introducing new processes and products.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively with other members of staff and management.
* Must possess excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
