Description:

Our client is a global robotics integration business who serve customers in many different industries and have been established for over 45 years. They have an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to join their team. This position is well-suited to a candidate with a sea freight imports background, have dealt with customs procedures and good general freight forwarding, with a confident, friendly manner. You will have a good understanding of all processes involved within the imports role and be able to work in a team as well as on your own initiative, with good communication skills, a flexible approach with the ability to develop effective relationships across all levels..

Responsibilities:

Customer Orders: Process customer orders on the ERP system.
Purchase Order Processing: Manage EU/UK inbound and outbound orders efficiently.
Freight Management: Handle end-to-end processing of UK, European, and Far East road, sea, and air freight shipments, including customs clearance ,fiscal responsibilities.
Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and partners.
Shipment Notifications: Process shipment notifications from suppliers and freight partners swiftly and accurately, liaising with other departments as needed.
Invoice Processing: Oversee monthly 3PL invoice processing.
Documentation: Maintain all documents and trackers related to the supply chain process.
Cost Communication: Communicate costs and informed risks within the business to key stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement by regularly reviewing processes.
ERP Enhancement: Contribute to the enhancement of the ERP system by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and troubleshoot with the warehouse.
Technical Support: Assist the technical team with product updates and inventory checks.Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience in import/export logistics with an excellent understanding of customs procedures and incoterms. (min 2 years)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail orientated with high level of accuracy
Advanced Excel skills.
Extensive experience working with ERP systems. (min 2 years)
Ability to identify and implement improvements in ERP systems.
Creative thinking
Flexible to change in a fast moving environment
Clear and effective communication abilities.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work with and develop effective relationships across teams at all levels.
Passion: Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude toward improving processes.
Ability to take ownership, work independently and run with projects Please note the role requires occasional travel to the Rotterdam warehouse. All candidates must have right to work in the UK.
