One role is based in Whitley for EDU's One role is based in Lyons Park for Batteries working on shift pattern base which is 6am to 2pm one shift and 2pm to 10pm second shift. Any candidate successful will be doing rotating shifts one week in the Morning and another week in evening.

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Whitley or Lyons Park who are seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join their team

Job Description

As Engineering Coordinator your main responsibilities are:

This role is within the Propulsion Prototype Build Preparedness Team which is part of Powertrain Operations and Product Engineering.
The team maintains productive workflow from the Prototype Battery Build Facility at Lyons Park and the Prototype EDU facility at Whitley.
They support these teams by building prototype propulsion units and ensuring that they are built to the correct specification and configuration as detailed by customer teams to the Clients' modern luxury vehicles.
Following successful EOLT they are dispatched safely and at the desired quality to enable unit and vehicle testing with the objective of achieving an on time, safe, quality product release.
The team's function is to support Powertrain and Product Engineering in their objective of achieving timely, quality product releases through supporting the overall Powertrain cycle plan.
In doing so the team, and all individuals within it, are required to be responsive to their customer needs and requirements.
This role supports the planning of the builds, understanding the technical challenges they may face and working in the upfront environment to solve these issues before moving in to a build support role as the build commences in the facilities.

Qualifications / Skills needed

Understanding of Logistics environment and parts management.
Coordination among stakeholders on problem finding and resolution ideally propulsion units batteries, EDU or engines.
Ability to accurately and concisely present complex technical ideas or project issues.
Clear and confident communication both orally and in writing.
Previous Engineering project experience x2 years minimum.
Qualification in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Full site of Microsoft packages
Understanding of AGILE Project Management principles.
