Logistics Manager - Data Centre Construction

Location: Camberley
Salary: £(Apply online only) PD (DOE)
Start Date: Approx. 6 Weeks

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join a major data centre construction project.

This role will be responsible for managing all site logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, plant, deliveries and personnel across a busy construction environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the project delivery team, subcontractors and site management to ensure all logistics activities support programme delivery and maintain the highest standards of safety and organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all site logistics activities on a live construction project.

* Coordinate deliveries, collections and material movements.

* Oversee delivery booking systems and site access procedures.

* Manage storage areas, compounds and laydown areas.

* Coordinate crane operations, lifting activities and plant movements.

* Monitor material flow to ensure work fronts remain productive.

* Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors and construction teams.

* Ensure site housekeeping standards are maintained.

* Manage traffic management plans and pedestrian routes.

* Produce logistics reports and progress updates.

* Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures.

* Support project teams with programme and operational requirements.

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction projects.

* Experience working within data centre, mission critical, infrastructure, pharmaceutical or large-scale commercial projects is highly desirable.

* Strong understanding of site logistics, material management and delivery coordination.

* Experience managing delivery schedules, storage areas, compounds and material movements.

* Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

* Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.

Qualifications

Essential

* SMSTS.

* CSCS Manager Card (or equivalent management-level CSCS card).

* Previous Logistics Management experience on large construction projects.

Desirable

* First Aid at Work.

* Temporary Works Coordinator.

* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.

* Experience coordinating lifting operations and plant movements.

* Previous data centre or mission critical project experience.
