Logistics Manager

Description:

We are currently searching for a very experienced Logistics Manager to work on a project in Birmingham. You will be working for the M&E contractor on this office refurbishment. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract.
As Logistics Manager you will be responsible for:

On-site management of operatives such as traffic marshals, banksmen, labourers and plant operators.
*
Produce and update lifting plans, traffic management plans, offload areas and waste management plans.
*
Ensure plant operators and lift supervisors carry out inspections on a daily basis.
*
Writing and implementing RAMS.
*
Working alongside other contractors to ensure there are no clashes.
*
Booking and allocating slots for materials and waste removal.
*
Chair weekly meetings with the local council, subcontractors and public organisations to provide project updates.
*
Deal with general day to day enquiries from the public in a professional manager.
Your experience:
*
Experience working on major projects in a logistics management capacity is essential. This is a logistically challenging site which will require a lot of people management and foresight.
*
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise professionally with local business owners, the public and subcontractors.
*
SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential
