Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all logistical aspects of our high-end residential projects, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of materials and equipment to site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for each project, taking into account project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
* Coordinate the procurement, transportation, and delivery of materials and equipment to site, ensuring that all items arrive on schedule and in accordance with project specifications.
* Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and delivery companies to negotiate favorable terms and ensure that all deliveries are coordinated effectively.
* Manage on-site logistics operations, including the allocation of storage space, the organization of materials, and the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
* Monitor and track the movement of materials and equipment, identifying any issues or delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Work closely with the project team, including the Project Manager, Site Manager, and Quantity Surveyor, to ensure that logistics activities are aligned with project requirements and objectives.
* Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols throughout the logistics process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
* Provide leadership and guidance to logistics personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, preferably within the construction industry and with a main contractor specializing in high-end residential projects.
* Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and processes, with experience managing complex supply chains and coordinating multiple deliveries simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
* A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software.
