Irlam, Greater Manchester | Permanent | Day Shift
Salary: £50k-£55k
Can you build a strong team and turn operational challenges into lasting improvements?
White Label Recruitment is recruiting a Logistics Manager for a manufacturing business in Irlam. Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll lead the logistics function, taking ownership of team performance, stock accuracy and the efficient movement and dispatch of goods.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact. You’ll bring clear direction to the department, develop your people and improve the processes that keep production supported and customer orders moving.
The role
*
Lead, coach and develop the logistics team, setting clear expectations and building accountability.
*
Manage warehouse operations, stock control and domestic and international dispatch.
*
Improve on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity and customer service.
*
Use operational data to identify problems, address root causes and deliver measurable improvements.
*
Strengthen processes through lean working, 5S, FIFO and better material flow.
*
Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning and Customer Services, while maintaining high safety standards.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience leading logistics or warehouse operations within manufacturing or distribution, with a track record of developing teams and improving performance.
You’ll be a visible, approachable leader who can engage people, set standards and follow through. Strong stock-control knowledge and confidence using an ERP system are important; IFS experience would be useful, but experience with a comparable system is welcome. Shipping and export experience would also be advantageous.
