LOGISTICS & WAREHOUSE MANAGER
We are looking for an experienced Logistics & Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day warehouse, logistics and material-flow operations within a busy manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on management role, responsible for ensuring materials are available to support production and finished products are dispatched efficiently and on time. You will also drive improvements across stock control, warehouse efficiency, material flow and team performance.
THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include:
Managing warehouse, goods-in, goods-out, stock control and dispatch.
Ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.
Managing the movement of materials between warehouse and production.
Coordinating deliveries, collections and transport.
Maintaining high levels of stock accuracy and inventory control.
Optimising warehouse layout, storage and material flow.
Reducing stock discrepancies, shortages, waste and unnecessary handling.
Working closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing and Quality.
Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
Leading, developing and motivating the warehouse and logistics team.
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an experienced Logistics, Warehouse or Supply Chain Manager, ideally from a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
You should have experience in:
Warehouse and logistics management.
Stock and inventory control.
Goods-in, goods-out and dispatch.
Supporting production through effective material management.
Managing and developing teams.
ERP/WMS or stock-management systems.
Using KPIs to improve operational performance.
Continuous improvement and process optimisation.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised and proactive, with a strong track record of improving warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy, material flow and delivery performance.
SALARY & BENEFITS
£55,000 salary
39.5-hour working week
Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: Early finish at 12:30pm or 1:30pm
Overtime paid at time and a half
3% company pension contribution
25 days' holiday + bank holidays (3 days reserved for Christmas shutdown)
