Freight / Logistics Coordinator (Engineering)
Location: Leeds
Contract: 6 months (possible temp to perm)
Rate: £17 - £19/hour PAYE

What you'll be doing:
* Coordinate global import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws
* Work closely with specialist carriers, port operators and freight forwarders to support shipments
* Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation, including CDS entries, bills of lading, Certificates of Origin (CoO) and packing lists
* Plan and book UK and international transport, optimising routes, loads and freight costs
* Monitor shipment progress, maintain accurate records, and provide real-time updates to internal teams
* Carry out day-to-day administration, including PO generation, data entry and email support
What you'll bring:
* Experience in freight coordination, transport planning or logistics
* Knowledge of out-of-gauge, break bulk or oversized cargo handling (road, sea or multimodal)
* Understanding of customs procedures, Incoterms and international trade compliance
* Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
* SAP ERP experience
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
