Logistics Coordinator – International Road
Location: Coventry
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9-hour rotational day shifts
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
PSM Recruitment are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join a busy international logistics team based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics or transport planning experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment, coordinating deliveries across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate time-critical international road transport movements.
* Work closely with the Team Leader to ensure efficient daily operations.
* Monitor transport schedules and communicate any delays, providing suitable solutions to customers.
* Maintain a good understanding of European driving regulations and restrictions that may impact transport planning.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with transport carriers and suppliers.
* Identify and report any gaps in carrier coverage.
* Record and escalate carrier performance issues in line with company procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous logistics, transport or freight forwarding experience is desirable.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Additional European language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
