We have an exciting new opportunity for a Warehouse and logistics technician to join our client based in Gourock. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse and logistics technician will support the efficient management, storage and distribution of fleet spares, equipment and technical materials that are essential to keeping vessels operating safely and reliably.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
* Experience working within a high-racked warehouse, stores or distribution enviroment (essential).
* A full UK current driving licence (essential).
* Previous experience and knowledge of stock control, inventory management and material tracking.
* Experience within a technical, engineering, maritime or transport environment would be desirable.
* Good IT skills with experience using warehouse management, inventory control or stock control systems.
* Current Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck certification is (preferred however if not held training can be provided).
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Operate forklifts and associated warehouse equipment.
* Receive, inspect and book stock into inventory systems.
* Pick, pack and dispatch materials to vessels and ports.
* Drive company vehicles to deliver goods across operational locations.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and stock audits.
* Support the return and dispatch of components and equipment for repair and overhaul activities.
* Assist with stocktaking programmes and inventory control activities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, warehouse standards and company policies.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER
Salary: £35,724 plus benefits
