Logistics Agent / Transport Planner
Location: Ivybridge
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £13.45 per hour
We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Agent / Transport Planner to join our clients busy transport team. This is a key role responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining strong communication with drivers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and scheduling vehicle routes efficiently.
Liaising with drivers throughout the day to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any operational issues.
Monitoring transport activities and resolving any service disruptions.
Maintaining accurate transport records and system updates.
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.
Working closely with internal departments to support operational requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar operational role.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Good IT skills and experience using transport management systems is desirable.
Ability to build positive relationships with both drivers and customers.
