Loading Shovel Operator
Ownby, LN8 2AD
£15.50p/h, paid weekly, every Friday
Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm
Overtime paid at 1.5x
Loading Shovel Driver
Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join their busy recycling and composting facility based in Owmby.
This is a hands-on role operating mobile plant machinery in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site, ensuring the smooth operation of the recycling and composting process.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently.
* Load and unload articulated lorries and collection vehicles.
* Move and transport materials around the site.
* Feed tunnels, shredders, screening equipment, and other processing machinery.
* Support the day-to-day recycling and composting operations.
* Carry out daily machine checks, greasing, and basic cleaning and maintenance.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Comply with all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience operating a Loading Shovel is essential.
* A valid Loading Shovel certificate or licence (NPORS, CPCS, or equivalent) is desirable.
* Experience within recycling, waste management, agriculture, quarrying, or a similar environment would be advantageous.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
* Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible approach with a strong work ethic.
