Job Overview
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Live-in Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will live with the client during your placement, offering practical support, companionship, and personal care to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling.
* Prepare nutritious meals and support with eating and drinking where required.
* Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policies.
* Provide companionship and emotional support.
* Assist with household duties such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation.
* Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and outings.
* Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional wellbeing.
* Maintain accurate daily care records.
* Follow individual care plans and ensure all care is delivered with dignity, respect, and compassion.
* Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
Requirements
* Previous experience in care is essential
* A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Flexibility to work on a live-in rota.
