Description:

Our client is an established supplier/manufacturer with a growing UK office, looking to recruit an experienced trend driven Lingerie Designer. Soon to be moving to new offices in Leicestershire, you will be part of busy commercial team creating ranges for UK/European and US retailers and brands.

Lingerie Designer – The Role

* To create fast fashion, innovative and trend driven lingerie ranges; bra and knickers.

* Keep up to date with emerging trends in order to maximise all product opportunities. Identifying key shapes, colours, prints, fabrics and trims. Meet with suppliers for sources of new inspiration.

* Design ranges and be responsible for your own customer accounts.

* To understand costings and be able to design into customer price points, alongside being able to assist the factory with engineering garments that fit into customers price points.

* Ensure all concept garments are fit for purpose, suitable for manufacture. Complete design packs for factories in an accurate and clear manner.

* Attend internal fits and progress meetings.

* Present ranges to the customer and internally as required in a creative and informative manner.

* Liaise with inhouse sampling, head office/factories to manage and develop product from concept to hand over.

Lingerie Designer – The Person

* Minimum of 3 years’ proven lingerie/intimates design experience, within a fast fashion supplier or retailer

* Educated to degree level, in contour fashion or fashion design

* Super creative and proactive in driving newness , ability to identify fast fashion trends and to translate into commercial ranges

* Attentive to detail.

* Adaptable, with ability to prioritise and multi-task to meet deadlines.

* Knowledgeable about garment construction, make up and fit.

* Good knowledge of fabrics, trims and componentry.

* Confident in managing direct contact with factories/sample team and internal offices to own the product development process.

* Team player, working with others at all levels and sharing ideas, and independently with a ‘can do’ attitude

* Highly proficient in CAD Adobe

* Flexibility to travel within UK/Offshore
