Line Leader – Fresh Produce
Location: Colchester, CO7
Pay: £13.30 - £13.50 per hour
A busy fresh produce company in Colchester is looking for a Line Leader to join the production team. This is a hands-on role working on a fruit packing line, supporting staff, and helping daily production run smoothly.
The role would suit someone with experience in food manufacturing and team leading in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and organising staff on the packing line
* Helping the team meet daily production targets
* Packing fresh produce when needed
* Making sure orders are completed correctly and on time
* Checking product quality and packaging standards
* Reducing waste where possible
* Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
* Training and supporting team members
* Maintaining HACCP and BRC standards
Requirements
* Previous Team Leader or similar experience in an industrial environment
* Food manufacturing experience is essential
* Good understanding of HACCP and food safety
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Full UK driving licence required
* Must have the right to work in the UK
Working Hours
* 5 days per week on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday)
* 07:30am – 5:00pm
* Flexibility needed, including some later finishes up to 8:00pm
