As a Line Leader you will work as part of a small team to ensure the production lines run to optimum efficiency. You will be responsible for the quality of finished products, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality. The role will also include responsibility of correct and timely completion of associated paperwork. As it is a small team, you will be expected to support the wider production team as required.
Key responsibilities
1. Responsible for the correct set up and efficient operation of the production lines, so that the right product is packed
within specification.
2. Responsible for meeting and exceeding production targets and KPI’s, so that planned efficiencies and target costs are
always met. The reporting of any issues to the Production Manager in a timely manner.
3. Accurate completion of paperwork adhering to company and legal requirements.
4. Complete relevant line alterations in line with requirements, so that downtime is kept to a minimum and
lines run to optimum efficiency.
5. Responsible for the quality of all finished products on your line, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality and
Specifications that results in a happy customer!
6. Ensure all workers assigned to your line(s) are allocated specific tasks and have been trained in those tasks, so that
individuals carry out their tasks safely, in accordance with requirements and achieve maximum productivity.
7. Ensure all routine cleaning and other hygiene requirements are completed on your line(s), so that the highest
standards of cleanliness and food safety are always maintained.
8. Ensure compliance with all aspects of health & safety across the site, always leading by example.
9. Actively promote a food safety culture, leading by example and giving coaching and direction as required, so that food
safety, legality, authenticity, and quality are always maintained.
10. Undertake any other duties, using transferable skills in any area of the business as reasonably requested.
11. Will manage approx. 9 operatives at one time.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Some experience in people management (ideally 2 years)
2. Willingness to undertake duties outside of standard daily task
3. Team Player
4. Positive and approachable
5. Ideally come from a Fresh Produce background
6. Keeps a calm head and able to manage internal conflict
7. Has Food safety Level 2
8. Right to work in the UK
9. Own Transport due to location

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Hours: 0700 – 1900
Basic Pay: £14.31 per Hour
Overtime Pay: £17.88 per hour (after 48 hours for first 12 weeks, and after 42.11 hours after 12 weeks)
