Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:
We are looking for a Lifting Supervisor for a contract based on Buxton Cement in Derbyshire
This is to start on the 2nd November and run until February 2027
Rate of pay is:
£27.00 per hour (All hours Monday to Friday)
£34.00 per hour (All hours Weekends)ey Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate lifting operations on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with approved lift plans.
Ensure lifting activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, site rules and safe systems of work.
Check that lifting equipment and accessories are suitable for the task and have the required inspection and certification.
Coordinate crane operators, slinger/signallers, riggers and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
Monitor lifting activities and stop work if unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
Ensure risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans are followed.
Maintain effective communication with site management, contractors and other trades.
Ensure lifting areas are controlled and exclusion zones are maintained.
Report incidents, near misses and safety concerns in accordance with site procedures.Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a Lifting Supervisor.
Must hold a valid MP Connect Card.
In date Lift Supervisor certification are essential.
Relevant lifting supervision qualifications and certifications appropriate to the role.
Experience working within an industrial, construction or heavy engineering environment.
Good understanding of lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting accessories and safe lifting practices.
Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
