Licensing and Parking Manager

As the Licensing and Parking Manager you will be responsible for taking the lead in delivering service improvements, enhance professional standards, consistency, and customer outcomes across Regulation and Safety having regard to the Council's Corporate Strategy, other corporate objectives, key performance standards and the Councils statutory duties.

This role requires an office presence 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direction to the functions and staff within the Licensing, Parking and Regulation and Safety area and ensure that the teams contribute to their full potential in the delivery on the Councils priorities.
Lead and deliver effective systems, enforcement practices and policies across Licensing, Parking and Regulation and Safety and other partnerships.
Investigation of complaints, service requests and other licensing and parking matters as required by the Chief Officer.
Undertaking of a variety of inspections and surveys.
Represent the licensing authority in relevant court cases, managing the preparation of cases for appeals against licensing decisions.
Experience Required:

Experience within parking or licensing management
Experience managing a team within a local authority setting
Experience of working in a team and dealing with the public and business.
Ability to use information technology including word processing, database, outlook, and PowerPoint.
