Description:

S3 Science is recruiting a Licensed Animal Technician to join our client based in Glasgow which is the leading centre for research in Scotland, focused on new medicines, better medicines, and better use of medicines. This is a temporary to permanent role offering a starting salary of £26,000 – £30,000.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing daily care for laboratory animals, including feeding, water and observation of health and behaviour

* Perform routine health checks and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians

* Collaborate with researchers to support and assist in experimental protocols

* Participate in staff training programmes

* Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to animal care

Job Requirements:

* Currently hold their Home Office License

* Previous Animal Technician experience

* Experience working with rodents

* IAT Level 2
