LGV Driver Assessor
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established heavy haulage business based in Warwickshire, looking to appoint an experienced LGV Driver Assessor to support their growing operation. This is a key role focused on maintaining high driving standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting driver development across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out driver assessments, inductions, and ongoing performance reviews
Monitor driving standards and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Deliver training, coaching, and toolbox talks to drivers
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing feedback and corrective action
Support with driver CPC training and development plans
Work closely with the transport team to promote a strong safety culture
Maintain accurate training and assessment recordsRequirements
Valid, in-date HGV (LGV) licence
Proven experience in a Driver Assessor or similar role within a haulage environment
Strong knowledge of driver regulations, compliance, and road safety standards
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with drivers and operational teams
CPC qualification (desirable but not essential)
Train the Trainer qualification (desirable)
