We are now seeking an LGV Class 1 Day Driver to join us in our Derby Findern depot on a permanent, full-time basis, working Monday to Friday with start times of between 04:00 - 05:00. Shifts will be around 10 – 12 hours, and we may ask for flexibility on weekends and nights, depending on your delivery location and business needs.

The Role:

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will safely and efficiently deliver products on behalf of our customers to various sites across the UK starting from our Derby Findern depot.

Adhering to designated routes, you’ll undertake route checks for safety restrictions, planned road works and traffic to ensure your journey will be smooth and efficient.

You’ll also engage with customers, other road users and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
 
Please note, our products are secured using stillages and pallets, and there may be a small amount of manual handling involved in the role.

About You

To be considered as an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

- A full, valid driving LGV Class 1 licence
- At least two years of commercial LGV Class 1 driving experience
- A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR, or DG codes)
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph card
- Excellent communication skills
- To be customer-focused
- To be able to work within a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
