The Employment Group are proud to announce that we are actively working in partnership with Gregory Distribution to assist with a recruitment drive for LGV 1 drivers for their Cullompton depot.

Job Description:
As a Class 1 driver for Gregory's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries out of the Cullompton depot to a range of clients at locations across the UK. This work will mainly retail and wholesale clients.
Your responsibilities as an LGV 1 driver:
* Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company guidelines
* Transport goods effectively from site to site
* Dealing with customers face to face at delivery points and managing our customers' delivery expectations.
* Collaborate closely with the dispatch team to receive instructions
* Provide updates on delivery progress vis phone supplied by Gregory Distribution
* Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee roadworthiness
* Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service through courteous interactions as all times
* Attending regular training sessions
The requirements of this role include:
* Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence with a clean record (Held for a minimum of 2 years)
* CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
* Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably within a distribution or logistics environment
* Experience of Fridge trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
* Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
* Working to deadlines.
* Confident, polite and a team player.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise tasks effectively

Monday to Sunday (Flexible)
Days/Nights available
Weekend shifts availabble
Pay Rates:
Mon Fri DAYS 15.00 per hour
Mon Fri NIGHTS 17.75 per hour
Weekend DAYS 17.75 per hour
Weekend NIGHTS 20.50 per hour
