GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Sheffield.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEND, ensuring they have access to a tailored and inclusive education that meets their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the educational and social development of students with SEND.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching materials as needed.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other staff to create and implement Individual Education Plans.
Track and report on the progress of students, maintaining accurate records.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the well-being and development of all students.
The successful candidate will:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant educational strategies and interventions.
Additional training or certification in specific SEND areas.
