Level 3 Qualified Joiner | Modular Building Manufacturer | Huntington, York | Long-Term Temporary
Location: Huntington, York, North Yorkshire (commutable from York city centre, Haxby, Strensall, Stamford Bridge and surrounding areas)
Pay: £15.83per hour, rising to £18.88 after 12 weeks
Overtime: Paid after 39 hours – time and a half (weekdays), double time (weekends), up to 10 hours per week
Contract: Long-term temporary – ongoing until at least August 2026
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7.30am–4.30pm, Friday 7.30am–12.30pm (early finish every Friday!)

We're recruiting an experienced joiner / carpenter for a leading modular building manufacturer based in Huntington, York, on a long-term temporary contract running until at least August 2026.

What's on Offer
* £15.83 per hour, increasing to £18.88 per hour after 12 weeks
* Overtime paid after 39 hours – up to 10 hours of overtime per week available
* Overtime rates of time and a half on weekdays and double time at weekends
* Early finish every Friday – done by 12.30pm for the weekend
* Long-term temporary work with security until at least August 2026
* Consistent day shifts – no nights, no rotating shifts
Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 4.30pm

* Optional overtime paid after 39 hours – up to 10 hours per week
What We're Looking For
* Level 3 qualification in Joinery / Carpentry (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a joiner, bench joiner or carpenter in a workshop, manufacturing or site environment
* Confident reading drawings and working to specification
* Good eye for detail and quality of finish
* Able to use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely
* Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a production team
