Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Planning and supporting age-appropriate activities that encourage children's learning, creativity and development.
Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
Observing, assessing and recording children's progress, identifying individual needs and developmental milestones.
Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
Supporting children's independence, confidence and social skills through play-based learning.
Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Maintaining accurate records, observations and relevant documentation.
Working collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver high standards of care and education.
Supporting children's individual needs and promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
Following nursery policies and procedures, including those relating to behaviour management, safeguarding and confidentiality.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare, or an equivalent qualification accepted for the role.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early years development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient and positive approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
A reliable, professional and flexible attitude.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
