Teacher Active are currently looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator in or around North Nottingham who will have the amazing opportunity to work with this wonderful Nursery!

We are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Educator  to fill this permanent placement caring for and supporting young children and their early-stage development.

The ideal Level 3 Early Years Educator  must have the following:

NVQ Level 3 and a minimum 6 or so month experience in an early year educational environment

A calm, nurturing and caring persona

Excellent communication skills

A good understanding of Child protection and safeguarding guidelines

A flexible, positive can-do attitude

As a Qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator, you will apply your in-depth knowledge and early year’s experience to deliver all aspects of our service, including planning and facilitating purposeful learning opportunities, meeting each child’s individual needs through close monitoring and observations and ensuring our high standards are maintained in all areas of your nursery setting. Alongside this, you will effectively collaborate and support the Senior Early Years Educators whilst being a role model to those Educators training towards their qualification. You will also have the opportunity to be responsible for a Designated Role such as SENDCO and access a pathway of continuous professional and personal development to support your career goals and progression with Cherubs Nurseries.

Description of Duties

Deliver: Deliver an amazing service, for both our children and families

Work as part of Childcare to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.
Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
Ensure all toys, equipment and furniture is kept clean and in good working order, steralising toys when necessary or required by policy.
Assist in the supervision of meal times, ensuring this remains a learning opportunity for the children where positive eating practices are learnt and developed.
Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
Ensure you are up to date and compliant with all our Nurserie's policies and procedures.
Take Ownership: Take ownership in everything, always being honest and transparent

Ensure paperwork is completed correctly, accurately and on-time.
Work with key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.
Commit: Commit to continuous improvement, always strive to be and do the best

Present yourself in a professional manner at all times, always “dressed for service”.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times both inside and outside of the workplace.
Work towards your qualification in childcare (if applicable), ensuring all targets are met and you are always up to date with any assigned coursework.
Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.
Complete all training that is relevant to your role, ensuring this is completed within 7-days of issue.

Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children’s interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
Build: Build a positive and progressive team environment where everyone is united and able to shine

Work under the direction of your Nursery Manager, Assistant Nursery Manager and Senior Early Years Educators – absorbing their knowledge and experience to enhance your own.
Take an active role in being either a Buddy or Mentor to our new Apprentice Nursery Practitioners, ensuring you impart correct and up to date knowledge and role model best practice.
Undertake a “Designated Role” such as Language Lead or iPad Specialist to enhance your own knowledge and that of those in your team and beyond.
Ensure any information you receive is shared with the relevant people and in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain friendly but professional relationships with all parents, staff and suppliers.
Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.
Your Qualifications and Experience

Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
GCSE Level Pass (4 or above) in both English and Maths
At least 3 year’s experience working in a childcare setting
Work remotely
