We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northampton that is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on children's educational journeys.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide high-quality support across the primary age range. You will play an important role in helping pupils engage with learning, develop key skills, and thrive both academically and socially.

About the Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning within the classroom, working with individuals, small groups, and occasionally whole classes under the direction of the class teacher.

You will help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
Providing additional support for pupils with SEND or those requiring targeted interventions
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil engagement
Assisting with classroom preparation, learning resources, and daily routines
Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers
Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school support team

Who We're Looking For

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience working with primary-aged children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, caring, and supportive approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A good understanding of the needs of primary-aged children
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting young learners
A positive and flexible approach to working in a busy school environment
