Level 2 Teaching Assistant - General Classroom Support | Full-Time

Location: Manchester & Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-Term

Do you have recent experience working in a UK primary school and want to continue making a difference in children's education?

We are recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within a friendly and inclusive primary school. This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with children and thrives in a busy classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities.
Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
Support pupils with varying learning abilities and additional needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence.
Supervise pupils during classroom activities and transitions.
Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements

✔ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
✔ Recent experience working within a UK primary school in the last 2 years is essential. Applications without recent UK school experience cannot be considered.
✔ Good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
