Revive EYFS Recruitment is looking for a caring and reliable Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to provide temporary, part-time support to a welcoming Early Years setting in Parkend, near Lydney.
This is a lovely opportunity for a qualified practitioner who would like flexible work without committing to a full-time permanent position. Shifts will be arranged based on the nursery’s requirements and your availability.
A Welcoming Setting in the Forest of Dean
You’ll be supporting a friendly and well-respected playgroup situated within a beautiful rural community.
The nursery provides a caring, secure and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, outdoor experiences and engaging activities. Children’s individual needs, opinions and wellbeing remain at the heart of the setting.
The Role
As a temporary Level 2 Nursery Practitioner, you will support the permanent nursery team in delivering safe, nurturing and enjoyable experiences for the children.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children’s care, learning and development
*
Helping to deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS
*
Providing additional support during busy periods and staff absences
*
Encouraging children’s confidence, independence and social development
*
Supporting daily routines, including mealtimes and outdoor play
*
Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment
*
Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
*
Following the nursery’s safeguarding, health and safety procedures
*
Working flexibly across the setting when required
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will need:
*
A full and relevant Level 2 Early Years or Childcare qualification
*
Previous experience working within a nursery, playgroup or Early Years setting
*
A good understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS
*
A warm, patient and caring approach
*
The confidence to settle quickly into an established nursery team
*
Reliability and flexibility when accepting shifts
*
Good communication and teamwork skills
